last vacation day of the year

Today was my last vacation day of 2007. It was either use it or loose it.. I used it.


Celebrated Thanksgiving with Charles's family this year. We use to go to both families to eat. We went to one for dinner. They would get mad because they cooked all morning and we didn't eat a lot. Then to the other for supper. They got mad because they cooked all day and we didn't eat a lot. Then we sucked down Rolaids on the way home. We decided to alternate every other year. This year just so happened to be his side. Everyone made it home except for Joe and Tabitha. They were at home in Peoria. It's too long of a drive for 1 day. Missed you guys!

After feasting on turkey, ham, dressing and all the trimmings we played Scene it, which the girls won. Later we had to watch Die-hard 3. I had seen it before..well the beginning of it. I fell asleep at the drive-in and didn't get to see it. Good movie.

Friday we went and got pizza at Nick's and went to see August Rush. Oh my gosh.. good movie. A must see for the holidays.

Saturday we attend a wedding, Sunday we attended church then went out to lunch. Charles has steak.. I had a salad. I had all the meat I could handle or wanted Thanksgiving day. I wanted vegetables and salads.

Today I did as little as possible. I was awake at 5:30am...got up checked my mail and went back to bed. Got up around 9:30 fixed me a pot of coffee and decided to sew the hanging sleeve on a wallhanging. I hand-quilted this wallhaning in 2005. All I needed to do was attach the sleeve so I could hang it. Well I finally got it on and it's hanging in the bedroom..

I made a pot of chili and baked a sugar-free Pumpkin pie for supper. My sewing room is a mess so I think I'll go get started on it. I've got some projects I want to finish yet this year.
