This is what I did tonight.....

Charles is working afternoons so I decided to tackle the sewing, rowing and surfing room. Aka the room I sew in, row in and surf the net in. It's a mess. I can't find a thing. Don't know where to even begin to look. My sewing gadgets and projects are in every closet in the house and out in the garage. I'm a pack rat with more ideas than she has time. This is what you get:

As you can see I can't get on the Evil Rowing Gadget. I'm behind in the Holiday Challenge. It's really doubtful that I'll be able to row 100,000 meters but you never know. If I put out the effort..I'll either come close or reach it. If I don't try it won't happen. Right now it's just collecting dust. Another incentive to get the room organized.

I've got quilt tops galore...well I wouldn't go that far. But I do have about 8 tops that all that needs to be done is the quilting. I never know what type of motif to quilt. So I just sit them aside. At last count I have 18 UFO's (Un Finished Objects). I'm going to sign up for UFO Challenge which begins o1/01/08. The hard part will be to determine which 3 of the 18 to complete and at what stage do I consider it to be completed.

This is the sewing table my Mom gave me when she downsized. Thanks Mom!! It belonged to my Great-Aunt Fern Sharp. I wonder what she use to sew? Did she sew clothes for her family, quilt tops? I wonder if she sewed for fun. ????

After 4 hours and 1 tall garbage bag later.....minus a break here and there to catch The Biggest Loser. I've accomplished.....

A somewhat clean sewing table. It's now down to 5 piles. Pile#1 goes in the car (maps). Pile #2 goes into the file cabinet..important tax papers and other stuff. Pile #3 goes back to their owner. Pile #4 goes to a friend who is doing Weight Watchers and #5 I have to punch holes in the papers and insert them in a folder. Patterns and other ideas of stuff I want to make. No more stuffing in a box or Wal-mart bag.

The Evil Rowing Gadget area is now free of clutter. I might have a chance at the 100,000 meters by Christmas Eve after all. Either way I'm going to give it a shot. Turn on the tunes and row baby row.
Last but not least......

My clean surfing station.

Now I can surf the net (as if I couldn't before) without knocking something off.

I vaccumed the rest of the house, took out the trash. Did a load of laundry and started the dishwasher. I am woman....hear me roar. We can multi-task. Tired. I'm going to take a hot shower and go to bed.

Until next time..

Good night
