Whirlwind of a week

Wow...what a week this has been.

Monday Joe's sends me a text they are going to induce Tabitha Wednesday. They have to be at the hospital at 4:00am. Tuesday afternoon Joe sends me a text. He is closing on the house Tuesday at 4:00pm. He was suppose to close the previous Friday but it didn't pan out. He has a moving van and we load up all but a few items. The men were packing which was why we didn't get it all. We get everything in the van unloaded and into the rooms they go in and set up the beds so they could get a few hours sleep before their lives would forever be changed.

The dr tells Tabitha if the contractions are 4min apart, 1min in duration for 1 hour to go ahead and come in. Otherwise he would see her at 4:00am. Around 11:30pm Tabitha announces it's time to go. Now my husband is pretty smart but this time his dumb side showed. When I told him to tell Joe to get out of the shower it's time to go He said why she doesn't have to be there till 4:00am. I tell him no it's time to go. No it's not. I tell him You don't Understand....IT'S TIME TO GO!! ohhhh!!! He hollers at Joe to get out to the shower. They grab what they need and head out the door. McKinley decided she really didn't want to leave her safe protection of her Mom so they had to go ahead and induce labor.

At 4:30pm McKinley Addison Dicks made her entrance weighing in at 6lbs 14oz and 20" long. She is a precious gift from God.

We've waited so long to be grandparents. The first time we heard her cry the joy just welled up inside and tears flowed. She have a new playmate in July when her cousin, Dylan is due to arrive.

Saturday I did the First Missionary Baptist Annual 5K Run/Walk for lift in Henderson, KY. This was the first year holding the event. I hope they continue because it was a well ran race. My time was 49.46 minutes for a 16.03 pace. I bettered my last 5k time of 51.11 16.29 pace. I want to be below 14:30 minute pace by October.

Until next time,
Dixie
