In a nutshell...border line diabetic..weight related. After discussing it with the Dr we've decieded to give it a couple of months to see if I can loose some weight and not have to deal with the daily hassle of diabetes. Proud to say I'm finally out of the roaring 200's into ONEderland. Results of bloodwork due on Tuesday.
I worked on the Batik 1/2 square triangles for a block swap at Sew Many Swaps. 2 sets done. 2 more to go. I might change it to 6. If I do, I have to get one more piece of Batik as you have to use different fabric in each set. I plan to use them with some Batik Rolling Stones blocks I've have. They're from a block swap I did a couple of years back. I'm going to include the Rolling Stones in the UFO Challenge I'm going to join. Trying to get my projects finished. Trouble is trying to narrow it down to 15.
Scott and Danica's wedding is 13 days away. Everything is done. Cheri, brides mother, had everything done before Thanksgiving. The only thing on the agenda was call the caterer with the tally. I wish I was as organized as she is. Now we wait for the day to arrive. Praying we don't have snow or ice to deal with. Between families and friends of the bride and groom The small wedding blossomed into close to 275 guests.
The goal to read the bible through in a year hit a snag. I was doing good till January 13th. I'm using the Change your Life Daily Bible. It's dated so I can easily stay on track or so I thought. I'll have to read 2 days each day this week.Picked up the car at the body shop from our near death experience. We were headed to church last Sunday going 55 mph down the road. A black SUV is waiting for the light to turn. He saw a car turn right out of the corner of his eye and thinks his light has changed. He proceeds into the intersection. Only by the grace of God and his strength was Charles able to move the car enough to get a glancing blow and not T-bone the guy. Big SUV Escalade...little Chevy Impala...death or serious injury for sure. A glancing blow that caused $2100 in damages. I can't begin to imagine what a T-bone hit would have done. More than likely the car would have been totaled with serious injuries and or deaths involved. Sure has put things into a different perspective for us.
Lots more good things to come in the days ahead. Stay tune.
