I shortened the tabs on the bedroom curtains. There was too much light coming in at the top and it just didn't look right. I folded the tabs over and handstitched it down. During the fabric feeding frenzy, I found the fabric I used in the quilt I made for my bed. I'm going to make a couple of pillows to throw on the bed.
I've started a red-work pillow for the bedroom last year. I lost my hippo that had my scissors and thread in it. I took it to New Orleans last year thinking I might work on it. Who was I kidding. It never made it out of the bag. I remember getting the scisssors out of the hippo on our way home. Not sure what happened to it after that. One minute it was there and the next gone. Course we were loaded to the gills so it could have gotten place in a bag and someone thought it was trash and tossed it.
I finally hung the signature quilt in the dining room. It was made in honor of my grammy's 100th birthday in 1996. It was the very first quilt I ever made. My mom and I worked for weeks sewing the blocks together. We then wrote the names of all of her children, grand-children and great grand children.
It was a busy day. I moved the indoor rowing machine out to the garage for the time being. I need to make a cover for when I put it on the back porch. I'll move it back in the family room when we knock out a wall and make it bigger. Whenever that might be. Just another piece of exercise equipment that's not being used. I might go ahead and sell it on ebay or craiglist. Seems a waste of money to buy something and not use it.
Did some more work in my sewing room. I moved things around so I could make a design wall to layout quilt blocks. I found so much stuff I had forgotten about during my fabric feeding frenzy. I was like a child in a toy store. Now if I can remember what I was going to do with it. If not I'll use it in a totally new project. Only I didn't find the 100's of 2 1/2" squares of civil war reproduction fabrics....yet. Drats!
Until next time,
