So what have I been up.... a little of this and a little of that.
The this....
Finished the Evansville 1/2 marathon 6:29 minutes faster than last year. 1 goal accomplished. I really want to finish the race in 3 hrs 30 minutes or less. But in order to do that I should have trained for it. I didn't. It became apparent I wasn't going to be able to accomplish that goal so I modified it and the goal became to finish faster than last year. 2007 time was 3:56:59. 2008 time was 3:50:30. 2009 promises to be a better and faster year.
I've been doing water kickboxing at the YMCA twice a week. I love it!!! I go in the evening after work since I'm too lazy to get out of bed in the mornings. Actually I could if I wanted to. I could if I went to bed early enough. I could if I actually slept more than a few hours at a time. Excuses. Excuses. It's the truth. I'm no sleeping very well lately. I'm in dire need of an appointment with the chiropractor to straighten my neck/shoulder problem.
Peanut (aka Dylan) is 4 months old. He's wants to sit up and check out what is going on all the time. His formula he's on is finally agreeing with him. He's a much happier baby now. He's beginning to twist and turn so it won't be long and he'll be rolling over.
All my family was at our house for the Thanksgiving excpet my niece Aimee and her family. It was nice having everyone here. A lot of work for one day but well worth it.
The that...
I've got to get on my holiday shopping. Not much to do in the shopping department this year. It will take me all of a couple of hours. After all...how exciting can toys for big boys (who no longer believe in Santa) be. But look out next year. Nana and Papaw will be busy busy shopping.
Charles has been busy practicing for the Christmas musical at church. That is one thing he really misses from our former church. He sang at lot of special music which he hasn't got to do at our new church. Not that the opportunity isn't there. His work schedule has changed and it just hasn't worked out to where he can.
2009 promises to be as eventful as 2008. Our oldest son Scott is getting married January 31st. His future wife is a sweetheart. She so loves my son. He's her knight in shining armour. What more for a mate could a mother ask for.
I've been contemplating my goals for 2009. I'll be finalizing those in the coming weeks. I know of one big event in the works for 2009. I can't reveal it yet till it's confirmed but it promises to be HUGE!
It's late. Charles just got home from work. 12 hrs today. 16 hrs tomorrow. Wintery weather is in the forcast for tomorrow. I best try and get some sleep.
Good night
